Longfield has a history of producing fine wool, however in more recent times has had a stronger emphasis on sustainable red meat production. Peter has worked hard to establish a regenerative-focused operation, where soil carbon is maintained, and overall soil health is prioritised. We are big on sustainability at Longfield, and wish to protect our beautiful landscapes for future generations to enjoy.
Currently, the farm is home to more than 120 cows and their calves, and 900 ewes; lambs and rams. The soil health programs, and improved pastures have combined to increase the carrying capacity of the farm.
